Filing closed 5 p.m. Tuesday for mayor, East Ward councilman and West Ward councilman.
Larry Crocker and Ronnie Moore will vie for the seat being vacated by Ritchie Jenkins, who has served two terms as mayor.
Rodney Edwards has filed for East Ward councilman, currently held by Crocker.
And no qualified candidate filed for the West Ward councilman. If no write-in candidate emerges from the April 8 election, the council will fill the seat by appointment.
