Information for Aug. 5 Primary Election

Voter registration deadline is July 9, absentee ballots June through August 4

The deadline to be a registered voter and eligible to vote in the Aug. 5 Primary Election is Wednesday, July 9. New residents to the county or first time registrations must file their voter registration application by this deadline. Voter registration may be completed in the County Clerk's office during the hours from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Voters who have had a change of address in the county need to update their new physical address in order to keep their voter registration active. Failure to keep addresses current will result in the voter being removed after the passing of two general elections.

Application for a voter by their guardian must appear in person at the County Clerk's Office to make that absentee application request. The last day absentee ballots may be mailed in July 30.

Voting in person at the office of the County Clerk will continue through Aug. 4 and Saturday, Aug. 2, the Clerk's office will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
