Save at the Missouri State Fair on Farm Bureau Day

You can harvest the fun and the savings this year during Farm Bureau/Farm Family Day at the Missouri State Fair. Take advantage of special discounts courtesy of Farm Bureau on Monday, Aug. 11. You can save on gate admission, carnival ride wristbands and tractor pull tickets.

Coupons are free and available at the Moniteau County Farm Bureau office located at 100 W Buchanan St, California. You don't have to be a member to pick up the coupons, but coupons are not available on the fairgrounds and are only valid on Aug. 11.

While on the fairgrounds, stop by the Farm Bureau building to drop your name in a drawing to win a John Deere riding lawn tractor. There is no cost to enter this contest and a winner will be drawn after the fair.

Another popular attraction at the Farm Bureau building is the milk house, where you can still get a cold cup of milk for 25 cents. Chocolate is a favorite choice. Displays in the building will also focus on issues important to rural Missouri, including commodity markets and government regulations.

"Harvest the Fun is a great theme for this year's State Fair. The Fair is a chance to show off to the entire state projects our 4-H and FFA youth have worked so hard on.

It is a time for everyone, no matter their background, to enjoy a slice of rural life," Blake Hurst, Missouri Farm Bureau president says. "The invitation is open to visit us and we look forward to seeing you at our building and on the fairgrounds in August."
