Fireworks Display in Russellville on Saturday

The Russellville Lions Club has teamed up with Bax Fireworks, Community Point Bank and the Relay for Life to create a huge event, including more than 1,000 expected attendance and $5,000 in fireworks display.

The first 320 people to arrive will receive a ticket for free hot dog and chips, as well as an entry for a $1,000-value fireworks gift box. Gates open at 4 p.m.

Cotton candy, snow cones, homemade ice cream and popcorn will be available, as well as a complete barbecue meal.

A bounce house will be set up for kids and glow-in-the-dark necklaces will help raise funds for the Relay for Life team.

Live band music will begin at 7 p.m.

A Sky Lantern Launch, to honor victims and survivors of cancer, will take place at 8:30 p.m.

The National Anthem will be sung live at 9 p.m. with fireworks set to the music.

Then, at 9:15 p.m. the "finest, most expensive, longest fireworks show," according to the Lions' Facebook page, will begin.
