A California woman is celebrating her love of crossword games with a $50,000 Missouri Lottery prize. Karen Kirchoff, 62, said she enjoys playing crossword Scratchers because the games take a little while to play. She purchased a "5X Crossword" ticket at Mr. G's Liquor, 306 Buchannan St. in California, that revealed the top prize of $50,000.
"5X Crossword" is a $3 game that officially began May 19. To win, players spell out words in the game, and prize amounts grow with the number of complete words.
