Mr. G's has been owned and operated by Norris and Lesley Gerhart since Sept. 15, 1979. They are located at 306 W. Buchanan, California.
The Gerharts call California "home." They have raised four children, Courtland and Melissa Gerhart and Jason and Chris Young here in California.
Norris shares, "I support Moniteau County as much as I possibly can. This is our home and I love it here!" The Gerharts have Chamber of Commerce membership stickers that date back to 1984 and according to Gerhart that was when he last replaced his front door.
When Norris was asked why he belongs to the California Area Chamber of Commerce he shared, "To support the community. The chamber makes things happen in our town and I want to be a part of it. I have had the opportunity to serve on the board for many years as a member, as well as past president and treasurer. Honestly, without our chamber many activities would either be left for others to do or they simply would not get done at all."
Mr. G's offers a large variety of items. They have a great selection of package liquor, wine and beer. They also have lottery tickets, tobacco products, e-cigarettes, soda, snack foods, ice, ice cream as well as movie rentals. At Mr. G's there is something for every member of the family to enjoy.
Mr. G's will celebrate their 35th anniversary in California in September of this year.
Business hours are Monday-Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
