Farmers Market starts new time

The California Farmers Market committee met and reviewed the progress of the market. Comments from vendors/buyers were shared and discussed. The open hours have been changed to begin selling from 4 p.m. with a new closing time of 7 p.m. Vendors will be allowed to set up their wares at 3 p.m. but prohibited from selling until 4 p.m.

A signal will be sounded when selling begins. E-mail addresses of vendors will be accepted as a method of contact with vendors with announcements.

A Facebook site is being established to allow vendors to announce produce and products they will be selling.

Fresh garden produce is starting to arrive and is eagerly sought by buyers.

Managers will be on site to assist and direct vendors and buyers. This is the second month the market has been open and new ideas are being considered.

The market will be closed for the 4th of July holiday.
