Though temperatures were in the 90's on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 17, children at the Railroad Park Childcare, California, were quite comfortable as they played outside, thanks to the big tree that shades the fenced-in backyard, providing much-needed relief from the summer heat. Emily Lehman, owner of Railroad Park Childcare, said the tree is a big plus, especially in the summertime when the children spend so much time outside playing, though Lehman said the children, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years old, also enjoy activities indoors, including bowling, and reading time at the library. "They also enjoy our trips to the park and the pool," Lehman said.
