Three Russellville Indians participated in Class 1 Sectionals Monday, May 12, at the Golf Club at Deer Chase, Linn Creek, where senior Devin Koestner led the trio as he finished tied for 21st with 93. Junior Coy Bond tied for 30th with 100, and freshman Cody Willingham placed 49th with 129.
The medalist was Spencer Ary, Thayer, with 74.
Barat Academy won the team competition with 327; followed by Thayer with 328. Both will advance to the state tournament at Rivercut Golf Course, Springfield, May 19-20.
Gainesville placed third with 387, followed by St. Vincent with 389.
