The fun musical comedy "Crazy for You," featuring the music of George Gershwin, will be performed by the Sounds of Joy plus four. There are two performances California High School auditorium - Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. The doors open a half hour before the show begins. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for K-12 students. The musical is directed by Michele Bilyeu.

In the story line of "Crazy for You" a person loosely connected with New York show business arrives in an old mining town in the Nevada desert, almost dying of thirst. While there, he tries to restore an old theater in the town, at least partially because he has fallen in love with the theater owner. While working to start the theater up, complete with a chorus line from New York, it is discovered he is a representative of a New York bank which is not favorably looked on.

The musical has quite a bit of dancing and many Gershwin music numbers.

Banker-theater restorer Bobby Childs is portrayed by Alex Dalbey. His love interest, Polly Baker, is played by Hannah Banderman. Saloon owner Lank Hawkins, who wants the theater, as well as Polly, is played by Garrett Imhoff. Bella Zangler, owner of the Zangler Theater in New York, is played by Matt Oerly.
