The California Lady Pintos had five players finish in the top nine individuals Monday on their way to capturing team honors in the Class 1 District 5 Golf Tournament.
Haley Goans paced the Lady Pintos with an 88 in the tournament held at Indian Foothills to take third place. Sophie Brant and Renee Roberts tied for fourth with 94s, while Becca Hamilton tied for seventh with a 99 and Rylee Glenn was ninth with a 100.
Olivia Sobaski of Sedalia Sacred Heart shot an even-par 72 to take medalist honors.
California totaled a 375 as a team, 14 shots better than runner-up Sedalia Sacred Heart in the six-team event.
The Lady Pintos advance to sectional competition next week at the Paradise Point Golf Complex in Smithville.
