An area woman was fatally injured as the result of an incident in which a motorcycle ran off the road and struck a tree on Route 125, seven and a half miles north of Rueter, in Taney County.
According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, when a 2012 Can-Am Spider motorcycle driven southbound by Patricia A. Wells, Wooldridge, ran off the roadway and struck a tree, ejecting the driver.
Wells was pronounced dead at the scene. She was reported to have been wearing a helmet. The motorcycle was reported totaled.
