The California High School JV football team hosted Southern Boone Monday night at Riley Field, where the Pintos, after being tied 6-6 at the half, defeated the Eagles 34-6.
Scoring for California included the following: Dylan Ratcliff scored a 15-yard TD and also caused a fumble on defense. Dylan Kramel scored two TD's- one was 5-yards and the other was 1-yard. Brent Alber scored a 15-yard TD and caused one fumble and also recovered a fumble. Logan Cox picked off a Southern Boone's pass for a TD. Jackson Trachsel recovered a fumble. Luke Freeman had an interception. Jose Magana kicked 4 extra points. "We started out slow in the first half, but the team played very well in the second half," California Coach Robb Hartman said.
The freshman Pintos will play at Blair Oaks at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6.
