Lady Pintos participate in Class 1 State Golf Championship

The Class 1 State Golf Championship were held Oct. 13-14 at Rivergate Golf Course in Springfield where the California's Lady Pintos finished in eighth place overall with 417-404 for 821. Coach Ashley Atteberry shared "I am so very proud of this year's team. We might not have scored as great at the State tournament as we would have liked, but it was a great accomplishment to even make it."

The Lady Pintos were led by Sophie Brant shooting 105 on day one and a 92 on day two for a 197 total, placing her 56th.

Also competing for the Lady Pintos were Renee Roberts who shot 99-101-200 for 61st place; Haley Goans carded, 109-97-206, for 68th place and Rylee Glenn finished in 79th place with a 104-114-218.

"I have two juniors that placed well and I will be looking to them to hopefully lead our team next year." Atteberry commented.

Russellville's Mikala Jungmeyer shot an 83 in the first round, and an 84 on day two to finish 15th overall with 167 capturing all state honors. Teammate Madison Oliver shot 113-116-229, for 83rd place.
