Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday Nov. 2

It's that time of year again when Daylight Saving Time comes to an end. This year the change is Sunday, Nov. 2, so don't forget to set your clocks back one hour. The time officially changes at 2 a.m.

Because of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, Daylight Saving begins the second Sunday in March when clocks are turned forward an hour and ends the first Sunday in November when clocks are set back an hour.

According to several sources, Daylight Saving Time is not observed in Arizona, Hawaii and some U.S. territories. Although Utah lawmakers are considering doing away with Daylight Saving for next year, the state is observing it this year.

The time to change the clocks is also a recommended time to change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors in the home or office.
