Charges pending as a result of stabbing

Jacob Forbis, 28, California, is in custody and felony charges are pending as a result of an incident involving the use of a knife alleged to have occurred about 12:53 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13.

According to California Police Chief Mike Ward, two officers responded to the location of the incident on Third Street following a call from the Eagles Club. The incident is alleged to have occurred in a nearby residence when a physical altercation between two males escalated, and one of them, Forbis, grabbed what was described as a pocket knife and slashed at the other.

Forbis was taken into custody with felony charges pending for second degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The victim sustained a laceration on his head along the hairline. He refused treatment at the scene.
