California's freshmen defeated Eldon, 14-0. This was the first game of the season for the freshman Pintos. "Our guys executed the game plan both offensively and defensively," California Coach Robb Hartman said. "We only have 14 kids, and one is injured, so a lot of them played a lot of time. All of the hard work they put in over the summer and so far this season really showed."
