The California Invitational was held Tuesday, Sept. 16, where a total of nine teams participated, and the Lady Pintos prevailed in first place with a team score of 366.
Rylee Glenn led California with 88 to place sixth individually, followed by Sophie Brant who finished seventh with 89. Haley Goans carded a 94, Renee Roberts 95, and Becca Hamilton 97.
"The girls played great at our home tournament," California Coach Ashley Atteberry said. "A team score of 366 is excellent, and we hope to finish out the rest of the season this strong."
New Bloomfield finished in second place with 396; Sacred Heart third with 407, and Centralia fourth with 440.
Taylor Hayes, Osage, was the overall medalist with 73.
Russellville was led by Mikala Jungmeyer who placed third individually with a 78. Madison Oliver shot a 90, and Madie Bungart carded a 97.
Russellville Coach Jeff Benward said, "Mikala was the third place medalist (low round for the year), Madison was the eighth place medalist (low round for the year) and Madie tied for 12th place (tied low round for the year)."
The Lady Pintos participated in the Old Hawthorn Quad Thursday at Centralia, where California was led by Brant, who was the medalist with an 88. Roberts shot a 94, her personal best, and Hamilton shot a 101.
"The girls did great on a tough course," Atteberry said.
The Lady Pintos participated in the Lady Jays Capital City Invitational Monday at the Jefferson City Country Club, where California placed eighth out of 14 schools.
"We were the best small school though," Atteberry said.
California was led by Brant who carded a 90, while Goans shot a 93.
