Chris Schoenthal, representing Schoenthal Farms, Jamestown, was selected as a winner in America's Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The program enrolls farmers for a chance to win $2,500, which is then donated to the farmer's nonprofit of choice. The Jamestown Area Community Center was selected to receive the donation. The presentation of the check was made March 16 at the Jamestown Community Center.

America's Farmers Grow Communities launched in 2010 and has grown to include 1,324 eligible counties in 40 states. Sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, the program is part of the America's Farmers initiative, which highlights the important contributions farmers make every day.
