BOONVILLE - The Pintos competed in their second meet in three days, and they were able to put up impressive numbers at the Jack McCush Invitational Friday.
"(The) kids have had four meets in the past two weeks and have been getting a bit worn down," California coach Jon Lindquist said. "Friday night they pushed hard and were able to run some really good times and even set a few personal bests."
Josh Woodruff, Drew Norton, Dylan Norton and Ramiro Garcia recorded first-place finishes, and Audrey Pickering led the girls side with a win and another top-eight finish.

RUSSELLVILLE - The Indians hosted the Show-Me Conference track meet last Wednesday, and had another successful showing. Both teams placed second, the boys behind South Callaway and the girls were second to Fatima.
Russellville won seven events and had 19 top three finishers on the day.

CALIFORNIA - The Pintos girls and boys' track teams held an open track meet last Tuesday, and again, California had a strong showing.
"Another great effort from both teams," Lindquist said. "This meet gave us the opportunity to run a bunch of kids and get them some experience."
Ellie Wirts placed first in three events and Walker Borghardt finished first in two and he was apart of the first place finishing 4x200-meter relay team, along with Drew Norton, Gunner Baquet and Dylan Norton.
