The Russellville schools board of education elected new officers at its April meeting.
They are President Debbie Malzner, Vice president/treasurer Mike Bungart and Secretary Shawn Ehrhardt.
The board voted to support the group of parents hoping to develop a football program, with the clarification that the school will not accept financial responsibility for the program for several years.
The board accepted letters of resignation from Jill Chapman, Brent Mettlen, Kate Lootens and Darus Brondel.
Contracts were approved for fifth-grade teacher Samantha Yarnell, agriculture teacher Kristen Wondell, history teacher Zac Blanton, and high school counselor Whitley Otto.
The board also hired Sheila Otto as head cook, Janet Tambke as cook, Bruce Gibson as bus driver and paraprofessional, and Mitchell Ott as part-time bus mechanic.
