Executive Secretary Diane Eulinger became a very appreciated part of the California Area Chamber of Commerce very quickly four and a half years ago when she began her duties. Mayor Norris Gerhart teased that "she may be gone, but her phone number would not be forgotten" during her retirement reception held Thursday, Aug. 13, at the California City Hall meeting room. He went on to share what a positive addition Diane had been for the Chamber and how greatly she will be missed during his remarks at her retirement reception.

According to Brad Baer, Chairman of the Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival, "Diane has made a policy and procedure manual for the festival and that is going to help everyone make it a great event. She has been a vital part of making the festival work and work well over these last four years."

Eulinger became the secretary to the board without training, much office equipment or guidance. "It was a pretty rough start," stated Eulinger, "however, now it is all up and running and Sandra Ratcliff is going to take good care of the board just as I had the pleasure of doing."

Sandra Ratcliff the newly appointed Executive Secretary commented "Diane has been wonderful to work with. She is so patient and kind." Eulinger has worked with Ratcliff to ensure a smooth transition into the position.

The Chamber Board recognized Eulinger's retirement with a reception, retirement plaque and a token of appreciation for her years of service and organization.

Eulinger's future plans include spending more time with her grandchildren and traveling with her family.
