Joint investigation leads to arrests

According to press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department, a joint investigation conducted with the Missouri Highway Patrol resulted in a search warrant being served at a residence near Jamestown.

"Various items of drugs and paraphernalia were located on the premises," Sheriff Jeptha Gump reported. "Two subjects were arrested and charged."

Arrested following the serving of the search warrant at 12:10 p.m., Dec. 1, were Lesley A. Blank and Steven F. Gentzch. A third person present in the residence has not been charged in connection with this investigation.

Blank, 45, was charged with two felony counts and one misdemeanor. She was charged with Class B Felony distribution, delivery, manufacture, produce or attempt to or possess with intent to distribute, deliver, manufacture, produce a controlled substance; Class C Felony possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana; and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The charges were filed as a result of the defendant allegedly being in possession of controlled substances when the search warrant was served at a residence she occupied.

If convicted on these charges, the Blank could face 5-15 years in prison on the distribution charge, up to seven years in prison and a $5,000 fine on the possession charge and a year in jail and a $1,000 fine on the unlawful use charges.

Gentzch, 61, was charged with one felony count and two misdemeanors. He was charged with Class B Felony distribution, delivery, manufacture, produce or attempt to or possess with intent to distribute, deliver, manufacture, produce a controlled substance; misdemeanor possession of up to 35 grams marijuana; and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The charges were filed as a result of the defendant allegedly being present, and in possession of controlled substances, when law enforcement officers served the search warrant at the residence occupied by Blank.

If convicted on these charges, Gentzch could face 5-15 years in prison on the distribution charge, and a year in jail and a $1,000 fine on the possession and unlawful use charges.

Bond has been set at $150,000 for each.
