California Pintos Varsity Beat South Callaway

Jacob Wolken scored 32 points to lead California to a 79-70 victory over South Callaway on Monday.

In spite of being outpaced by South Callaway during the first half of the game, California Pintos came back with a vengeance during the last two quarters.

California cemented their lead late in the game, scoring a game-high 24 points in the third quarter on the strength of a 10-2 run.

Both South Callaway and California had physical games, with 27 and 26 personal fouls, respectively.

Wolken was the leader of California's offense with 32 points, including 18 during the third period. He also contributed nine rebounds, two steals and one block.

Landon Mouse put up two three-pointers and scored 19 points total.

Two other players also racked up double digit scores for California.

Wyatt Bestgen added 10 points. Also contributing for California were Kale McAdams (9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block), Ethan Hodges (5 points, 2 rebounds), and Luke Freeman (3 points, 1 rebound).

California finished the game with 38 rebounds (15 offensive / 23 defensive), two blocks and two steals.
