CHS Math team take second place

The California High School Math Team placed second in Division II of the Smith-Cotton Math Contest in Sedalia Saturday. Members earning individual medals included Morgan Carpenter, Sidney Draffen, Trevor Hall, Matt Hurt, Madelyn Jobe and Jack Johnston. The following members earned ribbons Emma Baer, Mara Caudel and Taylor Jones.

In class test competition, the sophomore and mixed teams placed first, while the junior team placed second.

Three team members earned top individual honors. Jack Johnston was named first place freshman. Trevor Hall was fourth place top sophomore, and Morgan Carpenter was first place top junior.
