2015 Summer Reading Program Grant "Reading Shapes Heroes'

Awarded Grants are an important source of income for the library. This summer, the library will have an additional $5,669 to spend on this popular library service that benefits many children in Moniteau County. Grant dollars will provide for additional part-time temporary staff, books and supplies for programs and two special performances of a Puppet Show titled: "Susie Saves the Day!"

Planning is underway for the nine week program featuring four levels of programing: Babies/Toddlers, Preschool, Elementary, Tween & Teen. This year, Tweens will have nine weeks of programs too! The program will run from May 25-July 30.

Sign-up begins May 21. This grant is provided in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.
