Open house at Z Krafty 1s new location

An open house was held Saturday, by Z Krafty 1s, at its new location at 800 West Buchanan Street, California. The craft and sewing supplies business originally opened in late 2013 and moved the last week of January. According to owner Jenine Baker, Jamestown, the new larger premises allows for expanded classes and increased inventory.

Business hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Friday; and 10 a.m. - noon Saturday. The business is closed Sunday and Monday.

The business manager is Gina Baker, daughter of the owner.

In preparation for the open house, which featured Billy's Chili Dogs and soft drinks, Baker was assisted by her children and grandchildren, as well as Wanda Cassil, Sherry Cox and Jim Baker.

Z Krafty 1s offers a wide variety of craft and sewing supplies, as well as craft classes for quilting, crocheting, painting and scarf making. In addition to craft materials, there are ready-made items, for example, wreaths, pillows, place mats and potholders. The business also offers sewing machine repair and parts, and vacuum cleaner repair, parts and bags. Embroidery is also available.
