The Moniteau County Library @ Wood Place is fortunate to have continued support from the Elia Wood Paegelow Foundation. The Paegelow Foundation's purpose has been to establish, promote and maintain public library services for the education and enlightenment of the California community and Moniteau County citizens. The E.M. Burger Foundation has also provided funding for improvements to the library facility through the years. Both of these Foundations recognize that a thriving library impacts every corner of our community for generations, and it is an essential element of a community that helps families, entrepreneurs, job seekers, children, educators, and retirees.

Mrs. Paegelow's generous endowment, established in 1954, lives on through the Elia Wood Paegelow Foundation. The foundation is a 501 (c) (3) and accepts donations to be given to the California location of the Moniteau County Library, or to increase the value of the foundation to be used toward continued support of the library. If you are interested in becoming a member of the foundation or donating to the Elia Wood Paegelow Foundation, you may contact Connie Walker, director of the Moniteau County Library @ Wood Place for current and accurate contact information.
