Taylor reported doing well following accident in California

Gary Taylor, 55, is recovering from an accident which resulted in his being transported to University of Missouri Health Center via Staff for Life.

The emergency situation arose following the reported explosion of a tire Tuesday, Jan. 20. Staff for Life was called about 1:30 p.m.

The injury victim is vice president of Taylor's Tire Distributors, Inc., located on Business 50 West, California.

According to family members, Taylor underwent a seven-hour surgery and is "doing really good." He is resting and, for a few days, at least, no visitors are allowed. The family asks that Taylor is kept in the thoughts and prayers of his friends, neighbors and everyone in the community.

A fundraiser is being planned, which will include a dinner, drawing and live auction.
