Cargill wins top honors at 56th Poultry Festival

A team from the local Cargill turkey processing complex represented Missouri's poultry industry, as they took home top honors at the 56th Annual Poultry Festival held recently in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The Cargill team placed first in the boneless division in the festival's annual cooking competition.

The Poultry Federation has hosted this annual festival for more than half a century to celebrate the poultry and egg industry. A significant segment of Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma's economies, in regards to both cash receipts and employment, are represented by the poultry and egg industry.

The Cargill team prepared sliced smoked turkey breast and "turkey sliders," prepare their competition dish on-site, while also serving samples to festival attendees.
