Jack Dover of Springfield, Neb., made a visit to central Missouri over the weekend and made out like a bandit of the old west, claiming two victories on the ASCS Warrior Series "Red, White and Blue Tour" including the capstone event at Double-X Speedway in California Sunday evening.

Entering the evenings festivities, Dover and Randy Martin had each claimed a victory in two of the events over the weekend. Dover however had been dealt the better hand, as he was the high-point earner in the evenings heat races, and drew the number one pill during the redraw to establish himself on the pole position for the main event. Crowd favorite Jonathan Cornell would draw the number two pill to put himself alongside Dover for the feature event.

At the drop of the green, Dover won the drag race through turns one and two and that was all he needed as he was able to keep Cornell at bay for the 25-lap main event. Cornell would mount several challenges throughout the race, pulling alongside Dover on the bottom multiple times, but the momentum of Dover on the high-side would allow the "Husker-state native to claim the checkered flag.

Cornell would finish a strong second.

Evan Martin ran a solid race to finish third, Josh Fisher was fourth and Brad Loyet finished fifth. Sixth went to ASCS Warrior regular Jay Russell with Corey Nelson finishing seventh. Derek Hagar recovered from a slide off of turn one to finish eighth. Cody Baker was the hard charger of the evening coming home ninth after starting 15th, and Brad Ryun completed the top ten.

Heat races were claimed by Josh Fisher, Jonathan Cornell, Adam Jones and Jay Russell.

The B Feature event was claimed by Randy Martin. Also transferring to the main from the B were Todd McVay, Austin Alumbaugh and Curtis Boyer.

The former track champion looked like he was on cruise control as he had the field covered. Hard charging veteran Steve Beach claimed second, youngster Cole Henson was third, Dale Berry was fourth and Jeff Offerman completed the top five.

Beach and Clancy claimed the heat races.

The Hobby Stock division saw Gage Wineland pick up the win after surviving some challenges from Rudy Wirts and Kevin Prall who claimed second and third, respectively. Mike Schrader was fourth, Chuck Coffey was fifth and Laura Atkinson completed the top six.

Wineland also claimed victory in the lone heat race for the division.

In the 600cc Micro Sprints, Ayrton Gennetten - who has come close several times - finally was able to park his machine in victory lane. Outrunning fellow front row starter Owen Evinger into turns one and two and holding off a challenge from Miles Paulus, the third generation driver from Versailles, Mo. who earned a convincing victory.

Following Gennetten and Paulus across the stripe were Dwayne Benson in third, Jimmy Dowell in fourth, Scott Hathman in fifth, Dean Hathman was sixth, Travis Arnold seventh, Jordan Howell eighth, Austin Crane ninth and Garret Williamson completed the top ten.

Heat race victories were claimed by Evinger, Gennetten and Benson.
