White speaks to Democrat Club

The main topics of discussion at the business meeting concerned the support of Medicaid reform and expansion in Missouri, and the over 300,000 individuals in our state without medical insurance caused by lack of action.

It was proposed by the Club and Democrat Central Committee to write a letter to the California Chamber of Commerce thanking them for joining over 1000 chambers, hospitals, and medical professionals in Missouri in support of Medicaid reform and expansion. The proposal was approved by the membership.

It was suggested that the next meeting on March 26 be open to the general public to meet the candidates.

Both the local school board and city candidates would have a chance to meet the voters. Its was agreed to follow up with an invitation to each of them.

The speaker of the evening was Jim White the 4th District candidate for Congress. White impressed all in attendance as he addressed the issues facing Congress.
