Moniteau County 911 board meets

The Moniteau County Emergency Dispatch 911 Board approved a new maintenance plan for the 911 phone system. The new rate is $888.83 per month, up slightly from the current rate of $861.48. Approved was the hiring of two part-time employees to install road signs, Annual retainer for Attorney John Kay of $2,500, and approval for the administrator to purchase appreciation gifts for Telecommunications Week, April 12-18. The board approved the Feb. 19 minutes and the treasurer's report.

Administrator Corey Sullivan reported staffing issues prevented the dispatch center from sending anyone to the Spring Conference in St. Louis which had been previously approved. Two new full-time employees have been hired and are in training. They are Grover Stuart, Tipton, and Lisa Porter, California.

AT&T Mobility has been contacted about placing a "trouble ticket" for towers which are not providing correct wireless Phase 2 information on 911 calls. The problem is that the call locations from the tower is many miles off from the location the caller provides when making the call.

The copier contract will be updated to reduce paying overages. The new rate is $173 per quarter for 9,000 black and white copies, including parts, labor and toner. The center still will pay for each color copy made.

An update indicates that on dispatch mapping, Geo-Comm, believes that an update to dispatch computers will be applied by the end of March.
