EUGENE - Kade McAdams and Dylan Kramel will continue their golf season after finishing in the top-15 of the teams that didn't qualify for sectionals. McAdams also earned All-District honors, which is awarded to the top-15 golfers overall, as he finished tied for 12th with an 85.

"I really played well today," McAdams said. "Hopefully I can keep playing good in sectionals. This is something I haven't been able to do, so it should be fun."

While McAdams qualified by seven strokes, and was All-District, his score didn't match how well he played.

"His disappointment was that he could have easily been in the 70s," California coach Doug Miller said. "He had a little trouble getting out of the sand and had to take a nine on that hole."

Kramel carded a 91, a score that didn't match the success he had this season.

"Dylan struggled all day, but still managed to qualify and that's what it's all about, get to the next level and hopefully qualify for state," Miller said. "The boys didn't play as well as they wanted to today. They're scores were a little high, but they qualified."

Dylan Shaw was third on the team with a 95, Kale McAdams shot a 99 and Liam Schatzer carded a 103 to finish the Pintos scoring. California placed sixth overall out of nine teams.

Kade McAdams and Kramel will compete in sectionals Monday, May 11, at Kirksville Country Club in Kirksville.
