It was a warm, but not uncomfortable day for the second annual California Cinco de Mayo festivities, held Saturday, May 2. Those who came out for the day were drawn to the event to stop by for the wares of the vendors, listen to the music and watch the dancers perform. The event was on North High Street between the post office block and the Finke Theatre.

Items offered by the vendors ran heavily towards Mexican-style foods, although the Eagles Club cooks offered some more traditional American food items. Of course, there were plenty of cooling beverages offered by the vendors. There were numerous other items, including cookware offered by one vendor, which is meant for cooking with little or no fat.

The dancers performed on the street to lively music and, at the invitation of the dancers, were joined by members of the audience providing great entertainment for friends and family members.
