Jamestown, Prairie Home qualify for sectionals

CLEVELAND, Mo. - Jamestown and Prairie Home competed in the Class 1 District 6 Track Meet on Saturday at Midway High School, qualifying in multiple events for Saturday's Sectional Track Meet.

The Eagles' boys team will send three of the four relay teams to sectionals, and Trevor Barbour and Evan Knierim placed in the top-four in individual events.

For the Jamestown girls, Mickyala Strother qualified in three events, and Brooke Emmerick and Shianna Rorher are the two lone Prairie Home qualifiers.

Below are the qualifiers for Jamestown and Prairie Home, which is the top-four in each event.

BOYS

4x200-meter relay: 4. Jamestown (Evan Knierim, Austin Flippin, Garrett Jones,Garrett Wolfe) 1:41.41.

4x100-meter relay: 4. Jamestown (Evan Knierim, Garrett Wolfe, Austin Flippin, Bryan Reno) 48.36.

400-meter dash: 3. Bryan Reno, Jamestown, 56.02.

4x400-meter relay: 3. Jamestown (Trenton Barbour, Trevor Barbour, Garrett Wolfe, Bryan Reno) 3:48.54.

High jump: 4. Trevor Barbour, Jamestown, 5-2.

Triple jump: 1. Evan Knierim, Jamestown, 39-8; 2. Trevor Barbour, Jamestown, 39-1.5

GIRLS

100-meter hurdles: 2. Mickayla Strother, Jamestown, 16.78.

100-meter dash: 2. Mickyala Strother, Jamestown, 13.71.

4x100-meter relay: 4. Jamestown (Emily Strein, Mackenzie Strother, Sierra Cooper, Mickayla Strother) 56.67.

Discus: 2. Brooke Emmerich, Prairie Home, 99-6; 3. Shianne Rorher, Prairie Home, 98-8.
