A collision Friday, May 15, just after 3 p.m., on Highway 87 at Russell Street, in California, sent one person to a hospital. According to a California Police Department accident report, a juvenile driver of an eastbound 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix pulled from Russell Street into the path of a 2010 Mercury Milan, driven by Meleigha A. Caudel, traveling northbound on South Oak Street (Highway 87). The collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Caudel vehicle was transported to a hospital with injuries.
