On Saturday, Oct. 24, following an extended season which began on July 25, 2014 and culminated at the Missouri State Finals Rodeo held at the National Equestrian Center in Lake Saint Louis, Stacey Kenyon, 17, High Point, was crowned the 2015 Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Association Women's Breakaway Roping Champion in her second year of competition.

In 2014, during her first year of competition, Stacey was named the Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Association Rookie of the Year and finished in the top five at the Missouri State Finals Rodeo, then held at State Fair Arena in Sedalia, Missouri during the Missouri State Fair.

Her dedication and hard work have certainly paid off. It was bitter sweet for her parents David and Julie Kenyon, as it is a family affair for them with everyone helping out, including her brother Tyler, the "chute boss".

David also won the 2015 Missouri Rodeo Cowboys Association Team Roping Champion and Reserve All-Around, as it was truly a team effort and great accomplishment for the entire family to bring home two state championships, saddles and buckles back to the California area.
