Emergency Dispatch 911 Board discusses new budget

The 911 Emergency Dispatch Center Board of Directors approved, at the Nov. 12 meeting, purchasing the PRO QA Software in the 2016 budget. The vote for approval followed a discussion with Brian Maydwell, who was at the meeting to answer questions about the software and explain the software program.

The board considered the preliminary fiscal year 2016 budget. Some corrections and adjustments are going to be done for the proposed budget for the next meeting.

Administrator Corey Sullivan reported that as of the Nov. 12 meeting, all of the dispatch computers have updated aerials. He also reported that two dispatchers will be going to Emergency Management Dispatch (EMD) classes Nov. 16-18. It was also announced that all full-time dispatchers will be attending Crisis Negotiation Training.

According to the treasurer's report, sales tax received was $59,590.63. The MMDA account balance as of Nov. 9, was $734,635.99. The CD balance was about $189,000 as of Oct. 31. The total payroll was: Oct. 22 - $9,164.70; Nov. - $8,511.27. Overall payroll taxes were $6,947.37. Total accounts payable approved at the meeting amounted to $10,056.28.

The next monthly meeting is 6 p.m. Dec. 10, at the 911 Center.
