Four injured in two-car accident

Four people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning in Cole County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the accident occurred at 7:40 a.m. at Route C and Twin Peaks Lane.

A vehicle driven by Madison James, 17, of Russellville, failed to yield to a vehicle driven by Steven Gramblin, 49, of Jefferson City.

James turned onto Route C and was struck by Gramblin.

James and a passenger, Mykala Bischoff, 17, of Russellville, along with Gramblin, were all wearing seat belts and were treated for minor injuries.

Another passenger with James, Claire Backues, 17, of Russellville, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was treated for serious injuries.
