Jamestown 10, Calvary Lutheran 0:

JEFFERSON CITY - The Eagles (4-2) scored early and often in their five-inning win against the Lions on Thursday. Jamestown put crooked numbers on the board in the first three innings, as the Eagles scored four in the first, two in the second and four in the third.

Garrett Wolfe no-hit the Lions in his 13 strikeouts, five-inning performance. He also only walked two batters.

Wolfe also produced at the plate, batting 2-for-3 with a single, a double, three RBI and two runs scored. Austin Flippin was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a single and three runs scored.

Wolfe doubled home Flippin and Wyatt Hunziker in the first inning to score the first two runs, and Christian DeVore's double score Wolfe to take a 3-0 lead. Austin Maslen singled later in the inning to score DeVore.

In the second inning, Wolfe singled to Hunziker to give Jamestown a 6-0 lead, and DeVore reached on an error in the third to score three more runs.

Jamestown 4, New Franklin 2:

JAMESTOWN - Colton DeVore started on the bump for the Eagles (5-2) last Friday night, earning the win during his five-inning performance. DeVore allowed two unearned runs on four hits while striking out nine.

Austin Flippin continues his impressive fall on the hill, pitching the final two innings while earning the save. He allowed just one hit and struck out two of the seven batters he faced.

Jamestown scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead through the first two innings. Flippin led off the first inning with a single, then stole second during Wyatt Hunziker's at-bat.

Garrett Wolfe reached on an error after Hunziker grounded, then Wolfe and Flippin later scored after DeVore grounded to third base to take a 2-0 lead.

After New Franklin tied the game at 2 in the third inning, but the Eagles pulled ahead again fourth to take the 4-2 lead. After Hunziker walked, Wolfe homered to right field to give Jamestown the lead for good.

Jamestown's Tuesday night game against Bunceton did not make press time, but the Eagles return to action Thursday at Otterville and a home game against Calvary Lutheran on Friday.
