The Lady Pintos used a three-spot in the first inning to take an early lead, then scored one in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth to take a commanding 7-2 lead.

California took advantage of six Lady Tigers' errors.

Paige Johnson paced the offense with 2-for-4 hitting and an RBI. Ashlyn Moore was 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Braleigh Johnson recorded two RBI.

In the first inning, Destiny Cook led off with a walk, the Kaylee Vanloo walked to put two on with no outs. Braleigh Johnson's ground out scored one run, then Moore's double to left field scored another. Moore later scored off a single by Paige Johnson.

Braleigh Johnson grounded out to shortstop in the second inning to plate Cook, and Sam Beckham and Annastyn Trimble scored on passed balls in the third to extend the lead to 6-2.

Paige Johnson's single to score Vanloo in the fourth to give them the 7-2 lead, and the Lady Pintos got their eighth run in the sixth when Vanloo scored after Braleigh Johnson reached on an error.

Jamestown 7, Calvary Lutheran 6:

JAMESTOWN - The Lady Eagles scored five runs in the third inning, then two more in the fourth to pull away from the Lady Lions. But Calvary Lutheran did fight back to cut the deficit to one run in the sixth inning, but Jamestown held on for the victory.

Freshman Alyssa Reynolds continues to have a successful year, as she pitched a complete game to earn the win. She allowed six runs - three earned - on eights hits and she struck out six.

"We were fortunate to survive a close game against a good Calvary Lutheran team," Jamestown head coach E.H. Hirschvogel said. "We have got to figure out a way to eliminate crucial errors from our game."

Senior Mickayla Strother led the team at the plate, batting 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stole base. Senior Darian Wolfe was 2-for-4 with a single and a triple, one run scored and two RBI, and senior Mackenzie Strother was 1-for-3 with two RBI.
