Mid-Mo Ambulance adopts 2015-16 budget

The annual budget of the Mid-Mo Ambulance District, for the 2015 / 2016 fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, was reviewed and approved at the regular monthly meeting Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Administrator Lee Kempf presented the board with the budget proposal. The board approved the new budget as proposed. Projected funds for the fiscal year are $3,213,710.74. Projected expenses are $3,064,500, leaving a reserve fund of $146,210.74. Kempf informed the board that this will be the last year for the reimbursement of $107,140.90 by Morgan County on the sales tax owed. Next year's budget may be much tighter.

The August treasurer's report balance on hand was $452,918.67. Brenda West presented the board with accounts amounting to $1,025.95, which had been written off.

In other business, run statistics were: Tipton - 35 calls with 24 transports; California - 55 calls, 39 transports; Versailles - 141 calls, 99 transports; and Barnett - 41 calls, 24 transports. District wide, there were 272 calls with 186 transports for a transport rate of 78.5 percent on patient contact calls.

The next regular meeting is set for Oct. 14, at the Tipton district office.
