Training sessions for 911 personnel on Sept. 14-16

The personnel of the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center will be undergoing training in several areas, according to information provided to the 911 Board at the Sept. 10 meeting.

The administrator and three dispatchers are scheduled to attend the Missouri Communications Conference on Sept. 14-16 in Columbia. All full-time employees are signed up for the crisis class for dispatchers in Jefferson City, in November. Training is set up with Bobby Medlin on the new accounting system. The session is at the end of September.

Administrator Corey Sullivan also reported the failure of the air conditioner fan motor on Aug. 20. The problem was repaired the same afternoon. The HVAC zoning was scheduled to be completed by Sept. 18.

The staff plans to have a booth at the Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival and to enter a float in the parade.

According to the treasurer's report, sales tax received was $82,878.94 The MMDA account balance as of Sept. 9 was $682,703.64. The CD balance was about $188,769.21 as of Aug. 31. The total payroll was: Aug. 27 - $10,112.59; Sept.10 - $9,265.45. Overall payroll taxes were $7,637.63. Total accounts payable approved at the meeting amounted to $12,199.30.

The next monthly meeting is 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at the 911 Center.
