Boy Scout Troop 120 raised the American flag in a ceremony held at the 25th annual Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival following the festival parade. The flag was raised at the Moniteau County Courthouse. Following the raising of the flag, the group gave the Pledge of Allegiance. The fourth and fifth grade California Kids sang the national anthem. Dr. Peter Kurowski, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, California, gave the prayer after which Mayor Norris Gerhart welcomed festival-goers to the silver anniversary of the event.
