Russellville 12, Calvary Lutheran 2:

JEFFERSON CITY - The Indians scored at least one run in every inning, and multiple runs in four of the five innings in their 12-2 rout of the Lions last Tuesday.

In the first inning, Russellville scored four runs for the early lead. Isaac Kirchner singled to right to score a run, Nick Thompson singled to left to score another and Noah Stubinger's single brought two more home. That gave the Indians the 4-0 lead, as the game never got any closer.

The Indians scored two runs in the second inning, three in the third, one in the fourth and two more in the fifth to end the game due to the run-rule.

Kirchner led the team at the plate, batting 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Seth Kuda was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and one RBI. Tyler Voss, Thompson, Adam Kennedy and Stubinger each had two hits, as the team totaled 14.

Cory Minor got the start, pitching three innings, giving up two runs on four hits. Kirchner pitched two innings of no-hit ball to close the game out.

Russellville 1, Eugene 2:

RUSSELLVILLE - Russellville and Eugene had to play three extra innings to determined the winner Thursday night, as the Eagles scored a run in the top of the 10th and held on for the 2-1 win.

After the Eagles took the 1-0 lead in the third inning, Isaac Kirchner doubled in a run in the bottom half of the inning. Seth Kuda singled to start off the inning, then stole second base. Tyler Voss moved him to third, then Kirchner delivered the RBI.

Kirchner led the five-hit attack with two, batting 2-for-5 and the RBI.

Jamestown 9, Tuscumbia 1:

JAMESTOWN - Garrett Wolfe started on the bump for the Eagles, allowing one hit, one run and struck out 11 in his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Wolfe allowed the one hit and run in the first inning, as the Lions took the 1-0 lead. Wolfe went on to pitch three 1-2-3 innings after he gave up the lone run.

Jamestown pushed across two runs in the third inning to take the 2-1 lead. After a couple of walks, Austin Flippin doubled to left field to score the first run, then Wolfe reached on an error to score another.

In the fifth, Flippin doubled to right field to score two, then Wolfe's single to right plated two more to push the lead to 6-1. Jamestown added three more in the sixth inning.

Flippin led the offense with a 4-for-4 performance from the plate. He had three doubles, three RBI and scored a run. Wolfe was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Nick Perez was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Kuda pitched nine innings, giving up one earned run on five hits while striking out 11.

Jamestown 4, Higbee 2:

HIGBEE - Christian DeVore pitched four innings of two-hit ball and Austin Flippin gave up zero hits in his three innings of work, as the Eagles scored one run in the fifth and sixth inning to pull away from Higbee.

Jamestown scored two runs in the first inning to jump out early. Wyatt Hunziker doubled to left with one out, then later scored when Garrett Wolfe singled with two outs. Wolfe stole second base then scored the second run after Colton DeVore reached on an error.

With the game tied 2-2, Christian DeVore scored the go-ahead run in the fifth inning. Christian DeVore reached on a fielder's choice and scored when Hunziker singled to right field.

In the sixth inning, Flippin gave Jamestown the 4-2 lead when he scored on a wild pitch.

Wolfe, Hunziker, Nick Perez and Flippin each recorded two hits. Wolfe had two singles, a run scored and an RBI and Hunziker had an RBI and a runs scored.

Jamestown 13, Calvary Lutheran 3:

JAMESTOWN - In a run-rule shorten game, the Eagles scored in every inning to run away with the win.

Jamestown scored two runs in the first and two in the second inning to jump out to a 4-0 lead. After the Lions cut the Eagles' lead to 4-2 in the top of the third, the Eagles scored another run in the bottom half of the inning.

Calvary Lutheran scored another run in the fourth to make it a 5-3 game, but Jamestown scored eight runs in its next two at-bats.

Garrett Wolfe was 3-for-4 from the plate to lead the offense. He had two singles and a home run to go along with three RBI and four runs scored. Christian DeVore was 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. Austin Maslen homered in the game and recorded three RBI, and Austin Flippin and Cole Theissen each had two hits.
