Fourteen California High School students participated in the Student Council-sponsored Mr. Pinto contest April 1 at California High School.
Lauren Ziehmer and Hannah Banderman served as masters of ceremony for the contest, which consisted of several events including a talent contest. The contest served as a fundraiser for the food pantry, with canned food items or a small amount of cash required to be a part of the audience. The Student Council collected 300 non-perishable goods and some cash donations.
Sam Smith was the Mr. Pinto winner, as well as the winner of the People's Choice Award. Sam Miller was the Mr. Pinto Runner-up.
