Boy Scout Troop 120 traveled to Lake of the Ozarks State Park last Saturday to help the Missouri Department of Natural Resources get the park ready for summertime visitors.

Lots of projects needed to be done, such as painting, trail building, repairing fences and spreading mulch on the playgrounds. The scouts of California got the last project, moving and spreading six dump-truck loads of premium mulch among three playgrounds. The mulch had to be spread evenly to keep younger children safe while playing on the equipment throughout the summer.

The next outing for the troop is a merit badge college to be held at the University of Missouri.
