Friends of the Library plan Family Feud fundraiser

The Friends of the Library held a meeting April 6 at the Moniteau County Library @ Wood Place.

President Vickie Schroeder, Joyce Crook, Terry Brown, Ann Tettlebaum, Beth Jungmeyer, Beth Fennewald, Susan Borts, Vanda Harlan and Librarian Connie Walker attended the meeting.

The Friends committee met to continue planning their first fundraiser of the year — a Family Feud Game Night on April 30 at the United Church of Christ Friendship Hall. After hearing about the emergency repair work that had to be made in the basement, the group decided to target the proceeds toward this emergency expense that was not in the library budget.

The Friends invite the community to attend this fun-filled night and enjoy the entertainment. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a free-will donation. Jesse Rohrbach has volunteered to entertain the guests. Brownie sundaes will be made and served by committee members. Eight teams of five players each will compete for prizes.

The annual Smartypants Trivia Night is scheduled for Oct. 8. The committee members were encouraged to ask friends, families and neighbors to save the date for this event.
