Emergency Dispatch 911 Board approves 2016 budget

Administrator Corey Sullivan presented the 2016 budget to the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center Board of Directors at the Jan. 14 meeting. After discussion, the board amended the budget to add $10,000 to hire an engineer for the parking lot on the east side of the Emergency Dispatch Center. The amended budget was then approved.

The board held a lengthy discussion concerning the purchase of radio consoles for the center, considering the three bids received. Approved was a price of $137,019 for the consoles from Command 1.

During the Administrator's Report, Sullivan said he had ordered two new chairs from Missouri Vocational Enterprises, Correctional Industries (MVE). He also reported ordering road signs from a different vendor, due to not having the September orders filled.

According to the treasurer's report, sales tax received was $64,874.93. The MMDA account balance, as of Jan. 11, was $736,225.18. The CD balance was about $234,300 as of Dec. 31, 2015. The total payroll was: Dec. 17, 2015 - $10,160.10; Dec. 31, 2015 - $9,225.24; and Jan.14 - $9,236.20. Overall payroll taxes were $9,819.68. Total accounts payable approved at the meeting amounted to $47,384.85.
